DISSERTAÇÃO: Casa do Patrimônio de Penedo: Entre novos paradigmas e antigas práticas

Resumo: A presente pesquisa trata das relações de poder que estão em ação no processo de estabelecimento e implantação da Casa do Patrimônio do Iphan na cidade de Penedo, em Alagoas, especialmente a partir das narrativas que ela constrói e comunica por meio de uma exposição que, hoje, compõe seu espaço físico e tem se efetivado, até então, como principal canal de interação da instituição com a cidade. Discute-se como seu material e conteúdo expositivo é resultado do imperativo seletivo de que se trata o patrimônio cultural, expressando paradigmas preservacionistas e suas estratégias de fixação no corpo social. Sendo a Casa do Patrimônio um projeto que visa a construção coletiva do conhecimento, a participação social para gestão, proteção e valorização do patrimônio cultural, pode-se considerá-la uma possibilidade do exercício democrático para a emergência de um espaço de ressonância das diferentes vozes que compõem o campo de forças e lutas do patrimônio cultural e, dessa forma, é importante observar se estão explícitos os processos de escolha que a Casa empreende e quais os locais de fala os sujeitos – e que sujeitos – ali ocupam. Com essas questões em cena e tendo em vista que o conceito de Casa do Patrimônio não se restringe a um espaço físico, considero pertinente que uma pesquisa que a análise tampouco se restrinja ao interior de suas paredes, mas promova, sim, um avanço na aproximação com os sujeitos que formam e experienciam a cidade, para a qual se reconheceu a representatividade da Feira Livre e do Barro Vermelho. O acesso às narrativas de memória e vivência da população local é parte da dimensão da imaterialidade de Penedo, onde as vozes enunciam suas leituras da cidade, seus pertencimentos, suas formas de construir e valorar os espaços, tempos, ritos e outros.

 House of the Heritage of Penedo: Between new paradigms and old practices

Abstract: The present research deals with the power relations that are in action in the process of establishment and implantation of the Casa do Patrimônio of Iphan in the city of Penedo, in Alagoas, especially from the narratives that it constructs and communicates through an exhibition that today , Composes its physical space and has become, until then, the main channel of interaction between the institution and the city. It is discussed how its material and expository content is the result of the selective imperative that the cultural patrimony is dealing with, expressing preservationist paradigms and their strategies of fixation in the social body. As the Casa do Patrimônio is a project that aims at the collective construction of knowledge, social participation for management, protection and valuation of cultural heritage, it can be considered a possibility of democratic exercise for the emergence of a space of resonance of different voices which compose the field of forces and struggles of cultural heritage, and, therefore, it is important to observe whether the processes of choice that the House undertakes are explicit and which places the subjects - and what subjects - occupy. With these issues on the scene and considering that the concept of Casa do Patrimônio is not restricted to a physical space, I consider it pertinent that a research that the analysis is not restricted to the interior of its walls, but rather promote an advance in the approximation With the subjects that form and experience the city, for which it was recognized the representativeness of the Feira Livre and the Barro Vermelho. Access to the narratives of memory and experience of the local population is part of the dimension of Penedo's immateriality, where voices enunciate their readings of the city, their belongings, their ways of constructing and valuing spaces, times, rites and others.
