Training

The training activities - workshops, seminars and courses - are organized from case studies and experiences through which structuring concepts of the heritage field are operationalized, whose recurrent use has given meaning to the processes of value attribution, attitudes and technical decisions, public policy formulation, preservation and safeguard instruments, management procedures and practices.

The case studies and experiences, as well as the thematic axes around which they are structured, are defined together with the collaborative network of Centro Lucio Costa and based on the demands of the Member States. The sites on the World Heritage List, as well as the properties on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, serve as a reference for the analysis of case studies and experiences of the countries of the Region in the application of the UNESCO conventions, and in the preparation of indicative lists and application dossiers.
